Spiked Egg Nog Hot Cocoa

A warm, comforting holiday classic.

Ingredients
- 4 oz Pennsylvania Dutch Egg Nog Cream Liqueur
- 1 ½ cups whole milk
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- Whipped cream for topping (optional)

How to make it
- In a saucepan over medium heat, whisk together 1 1/2 cups whole milk, 1/2 cup heavy cream, 1/3 cup cocoa powder, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg, and a pinch of salt.
- Heat until hot but not boiling, whisking continuously.
- Remove from heat and stir in 4 oz Penn Dutch Egg Nog Cream Liqueur and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
- Pour the spiked hot chocolate into mugs.
- Top with whipped cream and, if desired, sprinkle ground cinnamon or nutmeg.
